::Fall in Northwest Arkansas [part I]::

Saturday morning we loaded up the Prius and headed to Northwest Arkansas with our friends, Brooke and Jonathan, for a parent's weekend out.  We enjoyed the scenic drive along I-540, as the leaves have all begun to change color.  When we arrived, we ate lunch at Slim Chickens, and then had to make a stop at Rick's Bakery for some sweets. Once we were good and stuffed, we killed some time shopping the boutiques around Fayetteville, before heading to the Razorback/Kentucky game.

Our seats were amazing, on the front row of 50 yard line! The Razorbacks were kicking tail and taking names, when a storm rolled in and the game was suspended for about 45 minutes. At this point our seats didn't seem so awesome.  Front row meant last out of the stadium when everyone made a dash for the exits to seek shelter from the rain.  We were soaked!

When the game resumed, the rain continued, and we stayed just long enough to see Randy Jackson make a surprise visit at halftime to present a ticket to Miss U of A 2008 to perform for the judges on American Idol, before we decided to head out. Apparently we made the right decision, because as we were walking to our car in the rain, lightning lit up the sky and the game was suspended a second time.  By the time we made it to Dickson St. to watch the remainder of the game on TV inside a warm, dry, bar and grill, the game had been called in the 3rd quarter.  Arkansas won 49 to 7. Wooo Pig Sooie!!!
