Who doesn’t love an award? I received The Liebster Blog Award nomination from my friend
Carly of BIG HOUSE, little table. What’s a Liebster Award you ask? Liebster is a German word meaning dearest, and the award is given to up-and-coming bloggers with less than 200 followers who deserve some recognition and support to keep on blogging. Thanks for the nomination Carly!

Eleven facts about me:1) I married a Texan (shhh!)!
2) I'm a born and raised Arkansan, and I'll live here until I die, period.
3) I'm a bit OCD... I can't sleep (or even relax) if my house is a mess, I only buy organic, and we're currently purging our kitchen of plastics.
4) I'm afraid of flying, but I love to travel, so I do it anyway with the help of
several Zanax.
5) I'm Elliott's mom, and we'd like 3 more if the Lord will allow it.
6) Diet Coke is my weakness. I seriously can't give it up even though I know it's terrible for me!
7) I'm a college graduate, but I choose to do hair, because I love it, and I refuse to do something I don't love.
8) We own our own
salon.
9) I'm not a natural blond. You would have never guessed, right? My God given color is a light brown, but you'll never see it. What kind of hairdresser walks around without color on her hair? :)
10) My Mom is my best (female) friend.
11) I'm a follower of Jesus Christ.
Carly's questions:Q: If you could have any career in the world, with no limits, what would you be doing? A: I would own my own salon. That has been my dream job since I was a kid. I'm just lucky enough I got to do it. But, if I couldn't do what I do (and I had the patience to go to medical school), I would be an OBGYN. I'm amazed by the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth. It is a beautiful thing.
Q: What would you say is your go-to recipe when you don’t have much time to think about dinner?A: Tacos! We eat a lot of tacos.
Q: What is your favorite season?A: Fall. I love everything about it, the colors, the cool air, the clothes, the food.
Q: If your house was on fire and you only had time to grab 3 things, what would you grab? A: Elliott, Maggie (our cat), and our photos.

Q: What is your favorite trend about today’s style/fashion and what is your least favorite trend?
A: Favorite: tall boots. Least favorite: anything with fur on it.
Q: What is your favorite TV Show? A: Vampire Diaries.
Q: Do you have a favorite makeup product or favorite hair care product? A: Redken's Tousle Whip. It's amazing, I just put it in and let my hair air dry.
Q: What is most important to you in life? A: My family.
Q: What is your favorite piece of jewelry and where did you get it? A: I'm not much of a jewelry person. I wear 3 things everyday: my wedding ring, diamond studs my in-laws gave me at my college graduation, and a hand stamped ring with Elliott's name on it (from Box Turtle).
Q: If you could start a non-profit company, funding any cause you wish, what would yours be? A: One that raised money to help parents with infertility with adoption fees or fertility treatments. Everyone should have the opportunity to be a parent if they have that desire in their heart.
Q: If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would you choose to live? A: London!
