::e's first halloween::

Elliott had a busy day on Halloween.  He came to hang out with us while we handed out candy in front of the salon for Halloween on the Hill.  He enjoyed watching all of the kids come by in their costumes, and they all loved seeing him too.  We had around 1500 kids come through over the course of 3 hours. It was wild!

Afterwards, we took him "trick-or-treating" at our friends and family's houses. His Pia even had a special bag just for him, with a few of his favorite treats and a couple of new outfits.  We also met up with a cute little bird and lady bug while we were out.  Elliott is quite the ladies man.

He was R2D2, in case you couldn't tell.  I saw the outfit on Etsy for $48, but you know I couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money on a Halloween costume, so I made one myself.  It was super easy. I just cut out the shapes on felt and hot glued them to the onesie and the hat.  I thought he was even cuter than the original R2.

I think his first Halloween was a big success. We're still making ourselves sick eating candy every night.

Halloween on the Hill.

Today was the annual "Halloween on the Hill" trick-or-treating extravaganza for the churches and businesses in Park Hill.  Kids come from near and far to trick-or-treat, and they come by the hundreds.  This was Katherine Grant Salon and Spa's first year to be involved in Halloween on the Hill, and we had a great time dressing up and seeing all the cute kids!

The candy squad.

Several of our clients came by.

An owl and a kitty.

Herb and his grandson, Ironman.

Who's that lady? Mark, our massage therapist...

The kids thought Mark was hilarious!

Tonight Gary and I stayed at home and enjoyed some time together.  We cooked dinner, continued our tradition (4 years strong!) of carving a pumpkin, and roasted the pumpkin seeds. This year we carved the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland.  This has by far been our most ambitious jack-o-lantern to date, and we were very pleased with the outcome!

What a fun day we had today.  I'm worn out now! Hope you all have a fun, safe Halloween.
