Scalloped

Ok bare with me, I think I'm having the same problem as Elana with it being too bright for good photos! Oh and definitely too windy when I took these! Also I'm typing this up at work because I'm a slacker and didn't want to stay up all night when I had to wake up so early! :)
The darling Rachel sent me this scalloped top to borrow. I LOVE everything scalloped but for some reason I don't own anything? What's up with that? I also love lace so this was an amazing combo! I wore it a few different ways but this was my favorite and the only one I happened to take pics in.
(^ I love this one haha it reminds me of that movie House Bunnies where she's trying to do the sexy Marilyn Monroe thing and burns her legs BAD)
I look like I'm dancing in a few of these! I really wasn't having that much fun (and trust me you don't want to see me trying to strike a move) it was mostly the wind.
I'm excited to start pulling out some Spring pieces assuming that Spring actually comes and stays. These shoes are probably my favorite wedge ever. I love the colors and the fact that they're super tall but so comfy and easy to wear. I also feel like they go with everything (but that might just be wishful thinking). And I love wearing these biker short leggings under shorter skirts. They have little hearts on them!

momma's "helper"

Elliott has most certainly reached that "in to everything" phase. My house frequently looks like a tornado just came through it, and for once, I don't care. It's too exhausting to pick up every random thing he finds, carries, and drops around the house, windex away every tiny hand print on the glass, or to repeat "no no" and "don't touch" 42,000 times a day. So, I'm stopping to enjoy it... because he won't walk around the house with a colander on his head forever.

The things that seem like annoyances now, will be the things I miss most one day when my house is quiet and empty.

::showering laura and august::

This past weekend, I had the honor of hosting my best friend, Laura's, baby shower. Little August is due May 17th, and I can hardly wait to meet him! I had the best time planning the shower and making the decor. I, however, did not make all that delicious food, several of our friends from church were responsible for that, and Laura's talented sister made the awesome cookie dough cupcakes.

Guests all made custom onesies for August, using iron ons. I highly suggest this Pinterest inspired idea for baby showers. Laura was thrilled to have so many cute basics in a variety of sizes to fill August's closet with.

Congratulations on your little one, Laura and Caleb. Being a parent is the best thing in the world. I couldn't be happier for the two of you. August is one lucky little dude.

Hearts & Pants

Happy Sunday :) As promised, here's my outfit photos from the Old Navy Event the other night. Photo credits go to Gentri!
Hope your weekend has been awesome! I got my toes done for the cruise yesterday and then struck gold with a pair of gorgeous sandal wedges for $3 at Target!! Apparently them being an online return condoned the steal of a price. Today I'll be chilling out and possibly cheating just a little on my diet...Haha. Sundays are my favorite because they're all about being lazy!

rainy day fun:

It's been a dreary, cold day today.
So, we took Elliott to The Wonder Place for the first time.
I think it's safe to say he liked it ;)
