DOLCE GABBANA BACKSTAGE RUNWAY HAIR FALL/WINTER 2012/2013

Dolce & Gabbana represented a new fashion collection fall winter 2012-2013 with beautiful hair accessories.

Perfect floral details will impart a delicate and romantic touch to your style. The collection is for girls who enjoy being admired, and each of these details is for that to really shine.

How to create the Look:

1. Create a clean center part in damp hair.
2. Using body full volume amplifier sprayed mostly at the roots, blow dry hair using fingers.
3. Gather hair over ears into a semi-tight ponytail.
4. Apply a small amount of All Soft Argan-6 oil for shine and smoothness before loosely twisting the pony and pinning it into a flat knot.
5. Add hair accessories (headband, barrettes, etc.).

VACAY (extreme pic overload)

Ok, so here's my condensed Vacation-photo-post! There's still quite a few pics, but I honestly tried to narrow it down! And I know I promised this would be up yesterday and now it's coming up at 9:00 tonight....but I got called into work early yesterday and haven't had enough time to sort through and edit. Enough rambling, here it is! :

On one of the first days after we arrived in Alabama we visited the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville. They had a ton of HUGE rockets and exhibits to look at. Ethan really enjoyed learning about the fastest plane in the world that reaches speeds around 5-6,000 mph. He's such a kid and a bit of a history buff too.

(We had to get this cheesy astronaut shot)

After the Space Center We headed to the Bridge Street Town Center Mall for some shopping! (This is my loot from the H&M there-except the pants which I got at Target) They also had an Anthro, J. Crew, Sephora, and a few cute boutiques we stopped in. It was a gorgeous, large outdoor mall. My sister, my mom and I shopped til we dropped! Ethan, however, wasn't as excited.

He appreciated this store having a place for the men to sit while they waited endlessly ;)

Later that night we went on a "Ghost Walk" in historic downtown Huntsville. A guide led us around, stopping in front of different antique houses that are believed to be haunted and  telling us the history behind each site. Didn't see any ghosts but we got some pretty creepy pics!

Saturday we drove from my Dad's apartment in Huntsville down to San Destin, Florida and got in some much needed beach time!

Next to Hawaii, the sand and water here are some of the prettiest I've seen! We caught this gorgeous sunset Saturday night.

Sunday morning we headed back to the beach for Brunch after getting our fill of sleeping in - SO relaxing.

We ended up going to Pompano Joe's, which is a seafood place, and NONE of us ordered seafood. Haha! They had a pretty great setup right on the sand with big open windows.

(Ethan with his fresh pineapple juice and my HUGE salad)

After Brunch we headed back to the beach for our last chance to soak up the sun and relieve our landlocked blues. We forgot our sunglasses so we had to stop at a convenience store to buy some. We were very tempted to get these matching 'stache ones! (I also thought these old-school gas pumps were cool)

At one point, Hubby made me into a mermaid (I got quite a few comments from intrigued kids passing by)

We spent our last night in a super cute beach cabin about a mile from the beach in Destin. Ethan and I decided we're having a front porch and rocking chairs when we get old!

These last pics are a bit random:
1- We saw this sign on the way to the airport. It says "Go to Church or the Devil will get you" we thought it was pretty funny.
2- While waiting for our very LATE connecting flight on Monday we got a little goofy and decided to pose in these fun windows at the Las Vegas Airport.

Well! That's my last vacation post! Hope you enjoyed it (or at least got through it!) It's back to regular outfit posting for me now! (promise)

Retro Halloween

Hey all! Today I'm over at Flock Together (a new swap-blog I've been invited to contribute to!) We're sharing some past Halloween costumes as well as new inspiration. These photos of me and my little sis are from 1994. This year me and the Hubs are going as a 1950's housewife and milkman! Scandalous, and an excuse to wear vintage! I'm excited. Come check out the other girl's cute ideas!
......And I promise I'll have a full post up tomorrow :)

Main Street Madison

I'm baaaaccckkk!!
Hope you all had an awesome weekend. I had so much fun on my trip!! Wish I didn't have to come back to real life so soon. I have lots of vacation pics to share but today I thought I'd share the ONLY outfit photos I managed to take while on vacation. Only one outfit, but it's A LOT of photos so it kinda makes up for it. Plus this area is super cute, I loved it.

These photos were taken in Madison, Alabama on main street where all the little old buildings and stores remain intact. It was a picture perfect area with painted brick and railroad tracks passing through the town. We even ate lunch at a classy restaurant across the street that was once the town jail. (pretty cool!)
My cute baby sister joined me for a few photos. She's growing up so fast, I can't believe she's 16!

One of the days we were in Alabama we spent an afternoon shopping at their gorgeous outdoor mall where I discovered these beautiful velvet boots! I'm obsessed with velvet everything lately so I was instantly in love!

I also picked up this hat and sweater there, I've been searching for a floppy wool hat so I was pretty psyched to find this one! I wore it pretty much the whole trip...

Well, that's it for today! I'll put up a vacation post in the next few days so I can share everything we did and all the cool places we visited :) Have a lovely day!

Outfit Details:
Sweater, Hat & Boots - H&M
Skirt & Legging Shorts - Papaya

::Fall in Northwest Arkansas [part II]::

Sunday morning we got to sleep in for only the second time in 9 months!  It was oh so nice, but I must admit I did miss hearing that sweet little voice over the monitor.  After a delicious breakfast at our hotel, we went to check out Crystal Bridges, an American art museum funded by Alice Walton, daughter of Sam Walton in Bentonville.  It was beautiful!  The architecture was amazing and the weather was perfect for admiring the colorful foliage surrounding the museum.  Such a wonderful ending to our quick weekend getaway with the Hayes'.
